National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed every year on December 7th to honor victims of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Seventy-nine years ago, aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor in what was then Hawaii Territory. Over 2,000 military personnel were killed and more than 1,000 injured. The next day, the United States entered the Second World War.
