Friday's Photo: Tall Ships and Oil Derricks

The entire photo.

The Ship

This photo has been in my family long before I was ever thought of.  I am guessing this is in Texas as when enlarged on the screen, I see oil derricks.

Did my grandfather take or purchase this photo in the 1920s or was it his son, Buster, who worked in oil fields in the late 1930s? This was folded. Was it sent to a family member through the mail? I would love to know where and when this was taken!

Friday's Photo: My Mom is Amazing!

This week my mother made these CAKES for a church function. They look like pumpkin pies. All that you see (even the crust) is actually icing.

Mom is very creative. She enjoys decorating cakes and when my children were young, they benefited as their birthday cakes were always very original and beautifully decorated.

Thank you, Mom! Here are just a few photos to bring back some memories.
