This photograph, taken in February 1959, shows my beautiful mother-in-law, Doris Mary Staubach Quinn, with her five-year-old son, Billy, who would later become my husband, Bill.
Doris was born 97 years ago this week, on 21 July 1929, in New York City. The daughter of Charles Staubach and Helen Driscoll, she married William Joseph Quinn on 3 January 1953.
Doris died on 21 February 2012 in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 82. She is buried with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
