Friday's Photo: Sam Trott

This is another photo from the Frye family collection. [1] Written on the back is "Sam Trott." Sam was a younger brother of William J. Trott of Bienville Parish, Louisiana who was seen in last Friday's post and several other posts.[2]

Samuel J. Trott was born in 1879 to Benjamin F. Trott and Cynthia Louisa Trucks in Bibb County, Alabama. He married Jessie Fancher. Sam died in 1948 and Jessie in 1976. They are buried in the Six Mile Cemetery in Bibb County. [3]

I tried to clean the photo with Adobe Photoshop (not my skillset). It looks a little better than the original. I put the correction beside a photo of young William J. Trott and can see some similarities.

This photo of William J. Trott was scanned from an album that
once belonged to Marguerite Cook Clark.[4]
