This Bienville Parish photo came from the Frye family collection.[1]
On the back is written, Warren Davis and Berry Davis.
The sack suits with small lapels, the young man's hair, and the walrus mustaches point to the years between 1900 and 1910, but. It could be a little later.[2]
The older man in this photo is probably Frederic B. Davis Sr. or Fredric B. Davis Jr. There is some confusion about the middle names of Frederic B. Davis Sr. and Frederic B. Davis Jr.; however, both were called Berry. Frederic Sr. had a son, Edward Warren Davis and Frederic Jr. had a son Warren Murph Davis, known as "Murff."[3]
Is this a photo of Fredric Sr. and his son, Edward Warren Davis, or is it a photo of Fredric Jr. and his son, Warren Murph Davis? Either scenario is a possibility.
Several readers of this blog have these men in their family trees. I hope one has this photo or similar and can identify these men.
