From the Files of Marguerite Cook Clark: Lorry Alan Cook

Lorry Alan Cook
August 21, 1901 - February 1, 1977

Lorry Alan Cook was the son of Philip Porter and Ella Mae Ratcliff Cook (click here to see their obituaries). He was born in Haughton, Lousiana. According to the 1940 census, he attended college for one year and was married to Katherine Huddleston of Texas. I found them living in both Houston, Texas and Lake Charles, Louisiana.

In 1924, Lorry Cook applied for a passport. His occupation was listed as geologist and he was planning to travel to Maracaibo, Venezuela for business. At the time, he was working for Atlantic Oil Producing Company in Philadelphia. He lived in Venezuela for more than a year.
