Unknown to my father, four of the young people in this photo were his second cousins - grandchildren of Tilman Capers Bryan, brother to his grandfather, Terrell Bryan.
This is another photo from the collection of Marguerite Cook Clark and it is assumed to have been taken in or near Bienville Parish, Louisiana. It was labeled by Marguerite's mother, Maggie Cook. It is thought to have been labeled long after the photo was taken. The maiden names of all of the young women were included, but it is not known if they were married when the photo was taken. The clothing styles, especially the hats, lead me to believe the photo was taken around 1910. No later than 1915.
Marguerite Cook Clark called all of these young people family. The Bryans were cousins - all descendants of Reddick Bryan and Elizabeth S. Regan family. The Cook girls were sisters to her father, Edward Clifton Cook.
Lizzie Sheffield.
Ina Cook Bryan and Bert Cook were the daughters of N. B. and Pauline Porter Cook. Ina married Albert Brown Bryan.
