From the Files of Marguerite Cook Clark: Dr. Henry Olen Wimberly

Dr. Henry Olen Wimberly, born on February 9, 1884 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, was a dentist. He was the son of Ezekiel Wimberly and grandson of William Wimberly and Mary Angelina Pitman. His mother was Emma L. Golson Murph.

Henry married Mary Belle "Mollie" Blackman on April 11, 1909 and graduated from Atlanta Southern Dental College in 1916. The family moved to Campti in Natchitoches Parish after his graduation where Henry established his dental practice. He was a mason, belonged to the Baptist church and, at one time, was the mayor of Campti.

Henry died on April 13, 1941 and Mollie died on October 27, 1957. They are buried in the Wimberly Cemetery in Bienville Parish.

Mollie's obituary was found in the Marguerite Cook Clark collection. Henry's obituary can be found at this link.
