From files of Marguerite Cook Clark: John Karl Tooke - A Memorial Day Post

John Karl Tooke was born on July 14, 1946 in Louisiana and he died on November 6, 1967 in Vietnam.

His mother was Mary Frances Fairchild, born in Scott County, Mississippi, and Karl Bryan Tooke, born in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. John Karl Tooke was a descendant of the Reddick Bryan family, the William Wimberly family, and several other Bienville families. Marguerite Cook Clark was a first cousin to John's grandmother Frances Wimberly Tooke.

I found more about John Karl Tooke and some nice tributes at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund's Wall of Faces.
